In the span of three and a half years the wallpaper company NLXL has taken the world by storm and its wallpaper is available through 3000 distributors. What started as a home decoration project has turned into a global design movement now including some of the design industry’s leading players. Founders Rick and Esther Vintage have teamed up with creative talent such as Piet Hein Eek, Studio Job, Piet Boon, and artistic director of merci, Daniel Rozensztroch to turn ho-hum walls into intricately-detailed, digitally printed trompe l'oeil. Trendease had the pleasure to conduct exclusive interviews with these design super stars during Milan Design Week to learn more about the inspiration for their collections
