New ideas, developments, and business models are plentiful in the 2022 Innovation Awards at Techtextil. In this video we check out some of the winners. Waste as a resource wins “New Approaches to Sustainability and Circular Economy”, where natural leather waste and biproducts from the automotive industry are hydrolyzed, ground and micronized, then introduced into a bio-polymeric coating to be used in fashion, interior applications, and eventually back into the vehicular sector, creating value from what would normally be discarded.
